Antonia Huerta was born and raised just outside of Denver, Colorado. Since childhood she has been passionate about art and all forms of creative expression. Antonia graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2013. Antonia also studied Art Education and has taught different media to children and adults. Antonia’s preferred medium is oil paint but also enjoys all art forms such as digital painting, jewelry, drawing, calligraphy, fiber arts, chalk pastels, face painting/makeup and just about anything else there is. Realism is Antonia’s specialty and her heart lies in portraiture. She loves the process of connecting with her subjects through the layers of paint, fine lines, and expressions. In 2016 Antonia opened an Etsy shop for her jewelry which is now Tranquilina, named after her grandfather and father’s middle name, Tranquilino.
